*NEW!*
The U.S. TBF/TBM Avenger Torpedo Bomber was the most successful torpedo bomber used by the United States during World War II. It was the heaviest single-engine plane of World War II, and had a crew of three - a pilot, turret gunner, and radioman/bombardier/ventral gunner. Models produced by Grumman carried the TBF designation, and models produced by General Motors carried the TBM designation. The Avenger introduced the wing-folding mechanism designed to minimize the aircraft's footprint on aircraft carriers.
This 1:18 scale version of the TBF-1 Avenger Torpedo Bomber is the largest aircraft ever released by 21st Century Toys, with a wingspan of over 36 inches!
This version of the TBF-1 reproduces an aircraft from the U.S.S. Bunker Hill during World War II.
This TBF-1 Avenger Torpedo Bomber is incredibly detailed, and comes complete with a three man crew! It features authentic markings and has folding wings and landing gear that raise and lower. The aircraft also includes a removable torpedo, eight wing mounted rockets, and a highly detailed cockpit. The Avenger also has many working flying surfaces, including ailerons, elevators, flaps and rudder. It also includes a machine gun turret with glass that can be removed to position the gunner action figure, an elevating machine gun, opening bomb bay doors, sliding pilot's canopy sections, and opening rear hatch door.
