U.S. UH-1B Huey 'Heavy Hog' - Vietnam, 1966

The U.S. Army UH-1B helicopter saw extensive use during the Vietnam conflict. The 'B' version could hold seven passengers and the diameter of its rotor blades was 44 feet. It was used in a variety of roles including air assault, ground attack, medical evacuation, search and rescue, and cargo transport.

This die-cast 1:72 scale U.S. Army UH-1B Huey helicopter is part of the Air Power Series from Hobby Master. It depicts Huey 64-13978, which was used in Vietnam by the 335th 'Cowboys' AHC (Assault Helicopter Company) starting in October 1966, and then by the 128th 'Gunslingers AHC starting in February of 1968. It was referred to as a 'Heavy Hog' because it had an optional weapons configuration of 'XM-3' that installed 2 24 round rocket packs and 'M-5' that isnatlled an M-75 40mm grenade launcher carrying 150 grenades.

This highly-detailed die-cast UH-1B Huey is approximately 7 inches long and has a rotor span of approximately 7.5 inches. The rotor blades can be rotated.
