Its use in all major theaters of the war included long range, high altitude escort of Bombers, close air support for ground troops, and photo reconnaissance.

This highly detailed 1:72 scale version of the U.S. P-51D Mustang depicts the aircraft as seen over Normandy in 1944.

This U.S. P-51D Mustang is part of Forces Of Valor's Micro Military Vehicles Series, and is the Enthusiast's Edition (which is the extremely detailed version of this aircraft). The aircraft includes landing gear that can be raised and lowered.

This 1:72 scale P-51D Mustang aircraft is approximately 5.5 inches long with a 6 inch wingspan.
