U.S. Mosquito - Normandy, 1944
The de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito was a multi-role aircraft used during World War II and the post-war years. The Mosquito was one of the fastest operational aircraft in the world when it entered production in 1941, and was used in a variety of roles throughout the war.
This die-cast U.S. Army Air Force Mosquito depicts a night-flying reconnaissance Mosquito that flew over enemy-occupied territory in advance of bomber formations at Normandy in 1944.
This detailed die-cast 1:120 scale version of a U.S. de Havilland Mosquito is part of Model Power's 'Postage Stamp Plane' series. The 1:120 scale diecast metal aircraft is approximately five inches long with a six inch wingspan, and includes a black display stand. It features textured surfaces, a glazed cockpit canopy, rotating propellers, wing-mounted bombs, and authentic 25th Bomb Group Normandy invasion markings.
