In the early 1930's, the German Army wanted to develop a heavy tank to reinforce their armored units. The Third Reich designed the Tiger tank, which was planned to be a "concentration point weapon" and would supplement existing armored regiments. Despite technical problems at the onset of deployment, and an unfavorable power-to-weight ratio, the Tiger I was the main and dominant heavy battle tank for the German Army until the end of the Third Reich.
This highly detailed 1:56 scale radio controlled version of the Early Production version of the Tiger 1 (Sd. Kfz. 181) depicts Tank No. 8, sPzKp Meyer 'Strotch'.
This German Tiger 1 Sd. Kfz. 181 is part of Hobby Master's Tech Power series of radio controlled vehicles. The 1:56 scale radio controlled vehicle is approximately 4.5 inches long (6 inches long with gun barrel), and has a turret that rotates and a gun barrel that raises and lowers.
This 1:56 scale radio controlled Tiger 1 tank is fully assembled and ready for play. The two-channel radio control allows each tread to be operated independently, so this tank moves and turns just like a real tank! The tank requires 3 AAA batteries (not included) and the transmitter requires one 9V battery (not included).
