The Harrier Jump Jet is the first operational military attack aircraft with Vertical/Short Takeoff and Landing (V/STOL) capabilities. The Harrier achieves its V/STOL capabilities by directing the engine exhaust through movable nozzles. The ability to take off vertically led to the Harriers being know as 'jump jets'.

This 1:72 scale die-cast Harrier GR.7 is part of the Hobby Master 1:72 Air Power Series. It is approximately 8 inches long with a wingspan of 5 inches. This plane is from RAF No. 4 Squadron, which was stationed at Ahmed al Jaber Air base in Kuwait in 2003 as part of Operation Telic (the British name for Operation Iraqi Freedom). The Harriers from No. 4 Squadron were used for close air support and reconnaissance, and were also used to destroy Iraqi mobile Scud launchers.

The model has extensive detailing, including features like an opening canopy and an interchangeable undercarriage. The model also includes a full ordnance package and comes complete with a display stand.
