The Mirage 2000 is a multi-role fighter jet. Originally designed to be the main fighter in the French Air Force (Armee de l'Air), it is now also in service with the air forces of nine additional countries.
The Mirage 2000 features a delta-wing design, which provides advantages with low radar signature, simplicity of construction, and high speed flight characteristics. The Mirage's fly-by-wire flight control system provides a high degree of agility while preserving ease of handling and stability.
The Mirage 2000 can carry almost 14,000 pounds of stores on its nine pylons, and can hold both air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons. In addition, the Mirage features built-in twin 30 mm revolver-type cannons. A fixed refueling probe can be attached to the nose of the aircraft for aerial refueling capability.
This 1:72 scale die-cast Mirage 2000C is part of the Hobby Master 1:72 Air Power Series. It is approximately 9 inches long with a wingspan of 5 inches. This plane has the French 'Joan of Arc/Stork' paint scheme of the EC (fighter wing) 1/5 as seen over Saudi Arabia in 1991 during the Gulf War.
The model has extensive detailing, including features like an opening canopy and an interchangeable undercarriage. The model also includes a full ordnance package and comes complete with a display stand.
