The Petty Officer 2nd class represented in this sculpture is a member of the elite Navy Special Warfare Unit, commonly known as SEAL (Sea, Air Land). The dress uniform he is wearing dates back to the original uniform of sailing deck hands, with little modification. His uniform depicts his rank, years of service, decorations and awards. The M-16 rifle, being held by this Non-Command Officer, is the current basic issued weapon for all services. This sculpture is 12 ½ inches high and is displayed on a 4 inch oval simulated wood base. Each includes a certificate of authenticity.
