The Sturmgeschutz III was one of the first German assault tank destroyers. The simplicity, low cost, and short time to manufacture were definitive advantages that led to large production numbers during the early years of WWII. However, the heavy Russian tank divisions soundly defeated the Sturmgeschutz III. To counter the Russian threat, the Sturmgeschutz was upgraded. A new, more powerful 75mm cannon and new armor steel plates were added. The Sturmgeschutz III name was also upgraded to the Sturmgeschutz III Ausf. G.

This 1:32 scale version of the StuG III Ausf. G depicts the vehicle as seen on the Eastern Front in 1943.

This die-cast German Sturmgeschutz III Ausf. G is part of Forces Of Valor's Enthusiast Edition series, which is the extremely detailed version of this vehicle. The 1:32 scale die cast metal vehicle is approximately 6.5 inches long (8.5" long with gun barrel) and has a gun barrel that raises and lowers, hatches that open and close, and a rolling tank suspension. It comes complete with four soldier figures!
