The MLRS carries 12 rockets, which can each contain up to 644 M-77 Shaped Charge rounds. The reload time is less than 5 minutes. Standard Rockets engage targets up to 19 miles away and the new extended range rockets can hit targets up to 31 miles away.
This highly detailed 1:24 scale radio controlled version of the U.S. M270 MLRS Multiple Launch Rocket System is part of Forces of Valor's 1:24 scale Battle Beam series of radio controlled vehicles. These vehicles can 'fire' upon other vehicles in the series via an infrared beam of light. The vehicles feature realistic sounds and lights, and 'recoil' when they shoot, and vehicles can take 'damage' and vibrate when hit by another vehicle, and can be 'stopped in their tracks' after enough hits are received. The MLRS also fires safe, plastic missiles!
This U.S. M270 MLRS features digital proportional speed and control, with independent tank track movement and rotating and elevating launch rack. It also features realistic tracks and independent wheel suspension. The tank is approximately 12 inches long.
The controller requires a 9v battery, and the vehicle requires 6 AA alkaline batteries. Note that batteries are not included with the vehicle.
