Over 15,000 Sd. Kfz. 251 half-track vehicle variants were manufactured during WWII. The 251/1 was designed to transport 10 soldiers plus a driver and commander and could travel at speeds of up to 32 MPH.
First introduced in late 1941, the 75 mm PaK 40 (Panzerabwehrkanone 40) became the standard German anti-tank gun during the later part of World War II. Over 23 thousand PaK 40 anti-tank guns were produced, and another six thousand were used to arm German tank destroyers.
This highly detailed 1:72 scale version of the German Sd. Kfz. 251/1 Hanomag with PaK 40 Gun depicts the vehicle and gun as seen at Normandy in 1944.
This German Sd. Kfz. 251/1 Hanomag with PaK 40 gun is part of Forces Of Valor's Micro Military Vehicles Series, and is the Enthusiast's Edition (which is the extremely detailed version of this vehicle). The 1:72 scale die cast metal Hanomag is approximately 3.5 inches long, and it comes complete with German and American soldiers plus added accessories. This terrific combination of vehicle plus soldiers plus accessories makes a great diorama scene or playset!
