The HMS Battlecruiser Hood was sunk by the German battleship Bismark during the Battle of the Denmark Strait in May of 1941.
The HMS Hood was 860 feet long and had a top speed of approximately 28 knots. During World War II, the Hood was equipped with eight 15 inch guns, fourteen 4 inch anti-aircraft guns, twenty-four pom-pom anti-aircraft guns, twenty Vickers machine guns, and four torpedo tubes. It also had two quadruple 533 mm torpedo tubes.
