The U.S. DUKW (commonly know as the 'Duck') is a six whee drive amphibious transport vehicle that was used by the Allies during World War II. They participated in landings in the Mediterranean, in the Pacific, and on the beaches of France during D-Day. DUKWs were later used in the Korean War during the Battle of Pusan Perimeter and in the amphibious landings at Inchon.
Replicating a U.S. DUKW 353 amphibious transport as it was seen during amphibious landings, this pre-assembled and pre-painted model from Blitz 72 features a realistically corrugated hull, a detailed interior with seats and controls, tools, gas cans, rotating wheels, a propeller, a rudder, and realistic markings.
This metal and plastic 1:72 scale U.S. DUKW 353 amphibious transport is approximately five inches long and arrives ready to display. It includes a removable terrain base with a clear plastic cover.
