Said to be named after a crude horn used by a popular radio comedian of the time, the US Army Bazooka was an extremely effective weapon against tanks and fortified positions. Officially named the M9A1 Rocket Launcher, it consisted of a five foot tube with a shoulder rest, handgrip and trigger. It fired a high explosive rocket.
