The Sherman Firefly Vc was a British variation of the U.S. Sherman tank. The major modification from the U.S. version of the Sherman was the powerful 17 pounder anti-tank gun, which offered much better performance against the German Tiger tanks. The Fireflies were so effective in this role that German tank crews were taught to attack any Fireflies before attacking regular Sherman M4 tanks during battles.
