The KV-1 was a member of the KV (Kilment Voroshilov) series of Soviet heavy tanks. The KV-1 weighed 45 tons and featured armor that was nearly impenetrable at the start of World War II. Its 76mm gun gave it good firepower, and it had good traction on soft ground.
